Cool video about Computer Case, take a look:
www.tweaktown.com BitFenix made the airwaves a little while ago with its launch and entry into the market highlighting itself as a high-end gaming hardware manufacturer. The team is built around well known tech people with plenty of experience in the industry from the likes of such well known past and present companies such as ABIT and CM Storm. The creation of the company is an interesting story, but best left for another time. Yesterday we headed out to the brand spanking new BitFenix office and got an exclusive hands-on video preview of their upcoming and really impressive Colossus full tower computer case. The product was introduced to us by Swedish chap David who is the product manager and it is important to keep in mind that this particularly sample only just arrived in from the China factory and it is a prototype and not yet finished — ie it will go through some changes before the final retail version ships sometime in September with a very estimated street price of around 170 USD. The Colossus is a very hip and new breed of computer case that will come in either white or black. It is a very important product for BitFenix since it is their very first product that will go on the market; the team does not intend on rushing it and will take as long as it needs to perfect it before it goes on sale. The Obsidian 800D blows that thing away.
uuuuuuugly!!
@JayMoreProductions Might’ve been more ideal for the front ports to not be behind the door, yes, but not everyone likes their peripherals, USB sticks etc. to be sticking out the sides.
These retards designed a whole cable management system just because they didn’t have enough common sense to put the jack plugs ON THE SIDE OF THE CASE!!
ugly case indeed.
awesome case but its not very large for powerful PC equipments . is there liquid cooler ? also the design of opnening and closing make problem after long term . so the ports of sata and usbs should be in the rear of tower . the front just for headphone and mic ports , and don’t forget the problem with stuckable with the optical drive . I mean do just tower case not safe box because I can do that out the tower case on my drawer or even on real safe box .
Awesome case I do like though how he reference’s a pair of headphones and plugs the cable into the mic jack lol
add an e-sata port imo
The case looks amazing no odd cuts or angles although im now more interested on what the insides can do now.
@jasedaace2 No, I think it runs on electricity.
@salanos what do you think the computer runs on fresh air.
could be good ….. will be nice to see how bitfenix devolops
Woow thats a big one! Looks awesome!
Awesome case with genius ideas, cannot wait to see the final model.
@jasedaace2
A digital code lock might require power or battery (and thus only work for certain number of years if a non-replaceable battery is used). Also, who knows, it could be hacked. A physical lock would possibly be more reliable as such, but yeah, it does look ugly.
Keep things going David, I’m impressed so far!
The wavey lines look interesting but after that its a big Antec/Cooler Master clone bringing little if anything new to the table. I would love to see someone break out of the “the PC case has to be a box” logic and do something different for a change. Yes there are some interesting new cases like the Thermaltake Level 10 but they are still sticking with the box formula. Want an interesting shape, google for “siga satander robot”
nice but pointless
@jasedaace2 I agree there. I would even prefer a standard type flat key lock to the code lock. I forget codes like I forget website passwords
Hopefully in the final design they could increase the colour range of the lights and just have a button to cycle through a few of the basic ones; red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange… whatever.
Also love the front panel cable management system, that’s pretty trick.
Love this case already.
@PR0XXIE penises
internals?
That code lock looks ugly, should be digital and the door should open the ather way.
the lights look cool thow try a green light or deep puple
definately keeping an eye out for this or a case similar.. very kool but simple designs..
TAIWAN!!!!!!! YEAH WOOHOO!!!!!
