awsome! much better than boring black boxes that are today. i really don’t like black but all computer come in it. OK maybe some black but not all of it. would much rather have a beige PC (beige might not be very much fun but at least it’s a PC speciality). but this thing is awosme. i was thinking of painting my PC in a KTM motorbike color. mostly orange with some small black detailes. :)

Also, I have Duplicolor primer already, I’ve used SEM in the past, but it’s a little pricey, is it worth it, or will the Duplicolor suffice? How many cans did you go through? Finally, how much paint did you use? Will 1/2 pint be enough?

Great video guys.

Few questions:
1. Did you use “Omni” branded clear coat? I thought I saw that on the table.

2. Did you strain the mixture after adding the pearl? I’ve shot colors before via HVLP guns, but I’ve never shot a pearl or metallic. So I’m not sure if I’m supposed to strain the paint with pearl/metallic additives in it.

If you could let me know, I’d really appreciate it. Getting ready to help my brother do his case real soon.

Thanks-

That sand blaster is the shit. I hate manual sanding!

descent paint job but what a load of crap, like the guy said use something softer than sand lol you’re only preping for paint you just got to get all the shit off the metal not remove half the metal.

Did you rent the sandblaster?

By bigdzzplace on June 3rd, 2010 at 5:01 am

Sand blasting warps the hell out of panels..no one in the body industry would blast with silica sand on a hood..maybe soda blasting or walnut shell blasting…as i said before..no need to sand interior of puter case… a 2 part epoxy primer will work great with no sanding..a trick to find out if im full of chit or not..spray some on a piece of old glass orr mirror and try and scrape it off with a razor blade.

@MonsterMawd Is there a way to get the spec’s on the Air compressor he was using to feed the sand blaster?

By milosimus on June 3rd, 2010 at 6:11 am
