my computer’s case is falling apart. i am planning to buy a new one, but will any motherboard fit in any case?

No. You need to know what form factor you motherboard is and then buy a case to match. Most motherboards use ATX or micro ATX.

best to get one that will take an atx format board, then everything will fit. good luck with it.
