Do you need a pelican laptop case when in Iraq?

By · Monday, July 26th, 2010

My husband is going to Iraq for the first time. They are unsure about what part due to the war changing. He is going to be using his laptop for leisure, so I see no reason for him to take it with him on missions if he even goes on any.. (he’s NBC) If you have been to iraq. do you think we should buy him one of those $150 pelican cases for his laptop, or should a regular neoprene case be fine?

If it is a expensive Lap top don’t take it. The sand will kill it

I shoved my laptop in my assault pack, and it was fine. So You definitely don’t need a super protective laptop case.

put it in a plastic bag!!!!

My macbook has spent 12 months in iraq and 15 months in afghanistan. I only have a neoprene case. It still runs like a top.

Regular case should be fine.
