Computer Carrying Cases

Is it bad to keep your laptop in the carrying case whenever it is not in use?

I have never had a laptop before but, now I have my Uncle’s which I am buying from him. I am so paranoid about the stupid thing that every time I am done with it – I put it right back in the leather case (kinda like a brief case) I have four kids and I am always scared one of them is going to knock it off a table or whatever. (stuff like that has happened before) Just wondering if that’s bad for the computer? Thanks in advance!

If it’s a leather case, you should be concerned about overheating. It should be safe but make sure you turn the laptop off. Not sleep or hibernate

It’s not bad for it as long as you turn it off.

Shouldn’t be a problem.

It is a good idea to keep it in the case. After you used your laptop just wait a few minutes to cool down before you put it in the case.

I don’t think it does anything to the laptop, it might do things with the cords though. If you fold them up.

Putting it in its carrying case when not useing it is the right thing to do – no harm at all will come from doing that + if it gets knocked over – its inside the case – and will survive the fall better.

The best thing with a LT – is when not useing it – it goes into a cuboard out of the way – a desktop you can’t do that – unless the person wants the ‘hassel’ of setting it all up again.

What your doing is the way to go + by looking after the LT it will last longer…………..well done you !!
